During fall 2018 we were commissioned by Nike to create a visual center inspired by Shanghai and the Marathon.
We chose to tell a story that would celebrate the city and the runners through the magnificence of historical Shanghai, with a visual journey in time that would take the viewers at a fast pace from the golden age of the early 20th century to the golden era that Shanghai is in now as a global, hyper dynamic, fast-changing, megacity.
The art deco-inspired graphics we designed tell the story of a city which has always looked to a rich future - and that shall resonate with the individual story of all those who dare to dream they can go further, faster, higher.
Based on the Visual Center we provided, Nike's design team created a whole collection that was released a few days before the Marathon.
Most products were sold out in a few hours.
